Renovated Church in Canton
Dec 10, 2009
Tom and Ava Love recently purchased an old First Congregational Church in Canton and are renovating it into a one-bedroom cottage for themselves.

Pews used to fill the spaces where family will gather and dinners will be served.
-
The floors were stripped of glue from the carpets and two coats of finish were applied to restore the original hardwood.
-
A working fireplace, old world Welsh mantel and a 1920s chandelier add warmth to the open spaces of the church.
-
While maintaining much of the 100-year-old craftsmanship, Tom and Ava couldn't resist adding modern appeal to the bathroom and lighting.

The old bell still sits in the tower.

The tall restored windows allow for natural light that fills the large open spaces.
