Archeology Awareness Days - Mitchell

Primitive technology experts demonstrate skills such as flint-knapping, hide-tanning, pottery making, atlatl throwing and more. Mike Marshall, Lakota, will show visitors games played by the early Native Americans. Lots of activities for children and adults. Archeologists from the University of Exeter, Exeter, England and Augustana College, Sioux Falls, will be excavating the site from within the Thomsen Center Archeodome and will be available to answer questions from visitors. Fee: $6 adults, $5 seniors, $4 children 6-18.
