LA touring singer & guitarist Vanessa Silberman & Boston rock artist Carissa Johnson - Rapid City

Vanessa Silberman (LA Rock touring singer / guitarist) & Carissa Johnson (Boston Rock artist) are coming on tour to Rapid City and playing Patty O'Neill's! They'll be swapping sets and telling stories about the songs for their 'Great Outdoors Tour' and giving a truly unique show to the audience.

ABOUT VANESSA: music and live show has been compared to a female Nirvana that's slightly punk and energetic; at times similar to The Ramones but then expands and ranges to the likes of Chrissie Hynde meets Patti Smith and Neil Young. She recently wrapped up a West Coast tour featuring Reed Mullin of Corrosion of Conformity and producer/musician Mikel Ross. In the last 22 months Vanessa has played over 300 shows in support of different singles and self-titled VANESSA SILBERMAN EP.

About Carissa Johnson:
Carissa Johnson is addicted to playing rock and roll. The kind of sweaty, turbulent, in-your-face, post punk rock that makes uptight people squeamish and uncomfortable. Hailing from Boston MA, Carissa Johnson has proven to leave her mark and she is just getting started. With a debut full-length album winning “Album of the Year” by the Limelight Music Awards and a nomination for “Best Punk Act” by the Worcester Music Awards in 2016, Johnson continues to push ahead, writing and producing enthusiastically honest songs. With influences evident in her songs, her sound pays tribute to seventies punk and new wave, yet remains authentically her own. Johnson is known for her straight-forward lyrics and her driving, four on the floor melodies, her “heartening anthemic rock” stands out among her contemporaries. In April of 2017 she won Boston's legendary 38th annual Rock and Roll Rumble. Determined to share her music with the world, she continues to book her own tours and play shows throughout the country – with or without a band, in support of her sophomore release, Only Roses (2016).
