Riverside Park

The Dacotah Territory Muzzleloaders present a historical reenactment of the fur trade era in South Dakota, with pre-1840s firearms, clothing, cooking and tents. Events include archery and rifle shooting contests. Camping fee: $20, non-camping events fee, $10. 

16 miles south of Aberdeen

Two day bike ride (62 miles or 31 miles each day) from Gayville to Niobrara, Neb. Fundraising ride for LIVESTRONG, a ride to help cure cancer. Deadline for registration is May 18.

Jerauld County Rodeo/4-H Grounds

Trail ride through Craven Canyon. A U.S. Forest Service archeologist will be present to explain the petroglyphs and other features of the canyon. Fee: $10 wagon riders, $6 horseback riders.
