Join us at the National Music Museum for a special evening of music featuring cellist Juan Guillermo Mireles Morales and pianist Dr. Yu-Han Kuan, performing works by Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann.
The concert will feature instruments from the NMM’s Cancelosi collection of playable instruments, including a cello by the Gagliano brothers and bow by Joseph Alfred Lamy. Kuan will be performing on the NMMās Mason & Hamlin grand piano (NMM15722).
Morales is currently a graduate student at the National Music Museum, pursuing a Master of Music degree with a specialization in the History of Musical Instruments at the University of South Dakota. His research explores the playability and acoustical properties of bowed string instruments, bringing together his interests in music, acoustics, and science.
