Editor Katie Hunhoff and Advertising and Marketing Director Heidi Marsh chose this photo by Frank Cundill. “If you look closely, it seems as if the window display is made of grass, which may have attracted him,” says Hunhoff. “But it also looks like he is reading a poster advertising a local dance. In any case, it's adorable.”

“Photos that show the changing times are always intriguing, and is there a better example than the picture shot in 1954 by Herb Qualset of a pony tied to a parking meter in Sioux Falls?” says Publisher Bernie Hunhoff. Hunhoff and Assistant Marketing Director Laura Andrews both chose this photo as a favorite. The Argus Leader photographer's collection is in the Center for Western Studies at Augustana College.
